Zelda M. Proffitt, 95, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away, Sunday, November 14, 2021, at home. She was born October 22, 1926, a daughter to the late Floyd and Gladys (Cheesebrew) Stover.  Zelda graduated from Point Pleasant High School, and she attended Bellemead United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband William Proffitt, Parents; Floyd (Gladys) Stover, Sister; Ruth Stover, Brothers; William and Delbert Stover; Grandson; Matthew Call.

Zelda is survived by her son, William Proffitt Jr. of Point Pleasant, WV, Daughter; Penny (Buck) Call of Huntington, WV, Grandsons; Joe (Dee Dee) Proffitt of Point Pleasant, WV, Daniel (Annmarie) Dempsey of Whitmore, MI, Granddaughters; Sarah (Tim) Card of Morgantown, WV and Cynthia (Larry) Workman of Carlisle, PA, Great Grandchildren; Brody Proffitt of Point Pleasant, WV, Rylie and Abigail Workman of Carlisle, PA. Special "Thank You" to moms angels who gave her such loving care.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers donations made to Hospice in Huntington, 1101 6 ^th Ave, Huntington, WV 25701, or a favorite charity of your choice. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
