William Henry Shaffer,74, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 5:30am after a long courageous battle with Cancer surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He was born May 12, 1947 to late Harold (Thelma) Shaffer Grantsville, WV.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to William. He loved hunting, mechanics, music and art. He spent his life as a simple man taking it one day at a time. His spunky personality was contagious to everyone he met.

William is proceeded in death by his wife Bonnie Lou Shaffer, his oldest daughter Mellissa Jo Shaffer, and his son Shawn Paul Shaffer.

Survived by daughter Katrina Stevens (Kendall Self); Williams granddaughters Dakota (James) Lilly, Lashana (Ryan) Kerns; Grandson, Roger Lee Stevens II, whom he loved going fishing and hunting with, and three other grandsons. William had many great grandchildren whom, he loved so much Jordan, Daniel, Ariel, Ava, Jaykob, Karlee, and Ameer. William shared a very special bond with Ameer he was his best friend and partner in crime, they kept each other busy and smiling every day.

William passed doing the thing he loved doing most living. Forever missed and loved. Until we see you again grandpa William aka Grandpa Jake.
