William L. "Pete" Flora, 86, of Apple Grove, WV, passed away February 21, 2018. He was born May 6, 1931, in Gallipolis, OH, a son to the late William C. Flora and Della Gardner Flora. He was a retired electrician from the Malleable Iron Plant in Point Pleasant, WV, and then worked at Williamson Pallet Company. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Pete lived a wonderful life. He married his true love Jean on March 31, 1950. They were married 60 years and were lifelong residents of Mason County. They had 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to flea markets, and collecting and trading knives. Pete was a very kind gentleman and would help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Thelma Jean Flora; one great-grandson, Nathan Litchfield; and one brother, Chester "Dink" Flora.

He is survived by his loving children, Phyllis Litchfield of Apple Grove, WV, and William (Shelia) Flora also of Apple Grove; sisters, Bonnie Christy and Ina Litchfield both of Apple Grove; grandchildren, Timothy W. Litchfield and Christina, Jimmy (Bridgette) Litchfield, Diana (Ginny) Adkins, Cindy (Joey) Hess, and Derick Flora; great-grandchildren, Patrick (Rachel) Flora, J.C. (Rachel) Litchfield, Jacob Litchfield, Shayla Litchfield, Ashley Flora, Anna Litchfield, Alivia Hess, and Makayla Litchfield; great-great-grandchildren, Myah Litchfield, Noah Marion Flora, and Collin Litchfield; several nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, at 1 PM, with Pastor Tony Stover officiating. Burial will follow in the Barton Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11-1 PM prior to the service.
