Von Paul Duncan, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away on March 11, 2017, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, while surrounded by his family. He was born May 8, 1943, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Jasper Paul Duncan and Wanda Pearson Duncan. He was a general contractor, and will be remembered for helping all his friends and family in need. He attended the House of Praise and Worship in Kingtown, WV, and loved his church family. He will also be missed by his special dog Lacy. He was a role model to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Eva May Duncan; an infant sister and infant grandson.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Duncan of Gallipolis Ferry; grandsons, Cory Duncan and Tyler Buck, both of Gallipolis Ferry; and special grandaughter, Savannah Oesterricher of Gallipolis, OH; as well as many other extended family, friends, neighbors, and his church family. He will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 1 PM, with Rev. Marshall Bonecutter and Jack McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11-1 PM, prior to the service.
