Velma Patterson, 71, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Velma is survived by her husband of 54 years, Howard E Patterson, Sr.; her daughter and her husband, Jamie and Britt Stoner, and their children MacKenzie, Jack, Brooklyn, Zander, and great-grandson Jude Stoner.

She is also survived by her son Howard E Patterson, Jr., his children, Cody and Haleigh, and great-granddaughter Lainey Patterson.

Also surviving Velma is her sister, Vicki Counts of Auburn, Georgia, and brother, Ronie (Linda) Wheeler of Point Pleasant, WV, and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Wheeler, a brother, James Wheeler, Jr., and her in-laws Howard and Mae Patterson.

A private graveside service was held Monday, May 1, 2023, officiated by Pastor Eugene Zopp. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.

The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington in Velma's name as a token of appreciation that could never be expressed in words for their dedication to her care and to the support given to our family by Jennifer and Christy.
