Steven Joe Pearson, 65, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away February 21, 2020, while at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was born March 1, 1954, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Gerald Pearson and the late Bonnie Wamsley Pearson. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Bonnie Pearson; brothers, Teddy Pearson, and Randy Pearson; and brother-in-law, Barry Davis.

He is survived by his loving life partner, Carolyn Smith of Gallipolis Ferry; children, Daughter Stephanie (Tim) Stover, and son Shad Pearson; sisters, Lanna (Edward) Manewal of North Carolina, Kathy (Joe) Milanese of North Carolina, Lisa Davis of North Carolina, Pamela (Jay) Powers of Virginia; grandchildren, Faith Lexey, Nirvana, Skyla, Jaxson, and Lucas, who were the light of his life! He also loved all of his extended family, friends, and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 1 PM, with Charlie Birchfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Austin-Hope-McCloud Cemetery on Redmon Ridge Road. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11-1 PM prior to the service.
