Shirley Ann Watterson, 80, of Apple Grove, WV, went home to be with the Lord while at Hospice of Huntington on May 3, 2018. She was born July 22, 1937, in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late Oather Meadows and Martha Terry Meadows. She was a homemaker. She attended several churches throughout the area.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oather and Martha Meadows; her husband, George Watterson; and sisters, Mary Slayton and Evelyn Casey, Emma Casey; and brothers, Harold, Chester, and Oatho Meadows.

She is survived by her loving children, Joe (Wanda) Watterson, Jerald (Suann) Watterson all of Apple Grove, WV, and Adam (Beth) Watterson of Lancaster, OH; and daughter, Georgeann Watterson of Pine Ridge, KY; sisters, Ester Casey of Apple Grove and Betty Perry of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Brittany Ware, Brad Watterson, Kayla Watterson, Jenna Watterson, Cody Spencer, Shannon (Dawn) Spencer, Isabella Watterson, Jessica Riffle, Kimberly Williams, Shawna Powell, and Brittney Lane; great-grandchildren, Ava, Emma, Brayden, Tristen, Brook, and Trenton who was the light of her life; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, 2018, at 1 PM, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastors Joann Hicks and John C. Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 PM prior to the service. Condolences can be made at dealfh.com.
