Shirley Ann Combs (Annie) of Pt. Pleasant, WV departed this life on Wednesday September 21, 2022, at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, WV. Her husband William (Bill) Combs was by her side.

Annie was born November 18,1949 in Lumberport, WV and was adopted by Homer William Sampson and his wife Nettie Sims Sampson. She grew up in Lumberport and graduated from Lumberport High School. Annie was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Shinston, WV and had served there as president. She was a strong and faithful woman who spent her life caring for others as a devoted wife and grandmother. Annie always made sure everyone had a great meal, was welcomed and loved. New Beginnings Baptist Church was Annie's church home where she was a faithful and active member.

In addition to her husband Bill, Annie is survived by her sons Danny, Aaron and Steven all of Mason County. She is also survived by her grandchildren Zac, Stevie and Katie. Annie also had three brothers, Roy (Patty), June and Ronnie (deceased).

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11AM at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 8443 Sandhill R. Pt. Pleasant, WV 25550. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Operation Comfort Warriors.
