Shawn Allen Barker, 28, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Glenwood, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home. He was born September 24, 1988, a son to Roy Barker Jr. and Christy Clendenen, step-father, John Clendenen and step-mother, Traci Barker. Shawn was currently employed at Bahnhof as a cook. He received a GED after attending Hannan High School. He loved going fishing and horseback riding.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Roy and Jackie Barker of Glenwood, WV, Larry and Shirley Scarberry of Glenwood, WV, step-grandfather Haskell Hysell of Barboursville, WV, half-sister, Kayla (Thomas) Smith of Wayne County, WV, half-brother and sister, Tristin and Autumn Barker of Wayne County, WV. He also had aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him. Shawn has a special aunt, Lisa Kinnaird whom he considered and called his second mom. She also feels the same. Shawn will be deeply missed by all the people that loved him.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother,Kathy Hysell, great-grandmother Lillian Deal, great-grandfather Jack Deal and great-grandparents Hazel and Noah Scarberry.

Services will be held at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM prior to the service. Please visit dealfh.com to send condolences to the family.
