Russell Earl Leonard, 65, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away October 24, 2018 in OSU, Columbus, Ohio.  He was born April 21, 1953, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Lester Leonard and Betty Jackson Leonard. He was a painter. He loved to hunt and fish. He belonged to the Marine Corp League and American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant, and the Devil Dogs Fraternity. He was a friend to everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Betty Leonard; three brothers and one sister, Butch, David, Chuckie, and Gloria.

He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Leonard of Point Pleasant; brother, Mike Leonard of Fairmont, WV, sister,Betty Jo Ohlinger of Letart, WV; several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Monday, October 29, 2018, at 1 PM, with Chuck Stansberry officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the Marine Corp Honor Guard, Marine Corp League, and American Legion Post #23. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
