Russell "Clarence" Stover, 71, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 7, 2017, at his home with his family at his side. He was born April 21, 1946, a son to the late Walter and Ellen Stover. He was retired from Lakin State Hospital Janitor Department. He was also an avid fisherman and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church in Gallipolis Ferry.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ellen Stover; infant son, Ira Wetzel Stover; and brothers, Ralph and Stanley Junior Stover; sisters, Virginia Siders and Corinne Anderson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda A. Stover of Gallipolis Ferry; son, Russell "Rusty" (Jennifer) Stover of Point Pleasant; daughter, Michelle "Lonnie" Bays of Apple Grove, WV; grandchildren, Shane Pickens, Corbin Neville, Logan Patterson, and Cheyenne Stover; brothers and sisters, Ruth O'Brien, Juanita (Stewart) Coleman, Dale (Roxie) Stover, Delbert (Sandra) Stover, Larry "Dean" & (Linda) Stover, Dorrance (Evelyn) Stover, special friends and fishing buddies, David Stover and the late Kenny Stover. He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Carmel Church in Gallipolis Ferry, August 10, 2017, at 1 PM, with Pastor Jo Ann Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
