Ruby Dean Young, 85, of West Columbia, WV, passed away July 13, 2020 at home. She was born November 15, 1934, a daughter to the late Lester Zimmerman. She was a homemaker who taught Sunday School at Clifton Tabernacle for over 10 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Russell Okey Young; three brothers, and three sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Young of West Columbia; daughters, Alberta (Cliff) Clay and Nancy Bird, both of West Columbia; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Young; granddaughter, Amanda (Ian) Smith of Point Pleasant; grandson, Jeffery "JT" Bird of Point Pleasant; great grandchildren, Jayla Smith, Carter Smith, and Avery Smith, all of Point Pleasant; great-great grandson, Elijah Scott Lewis and her furry friend, Sassie the cat.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 11 AM at Graham Cemetery in Letart, WV with Pastor Jonathon Pinson officiating. Friends may visit the family from 10:30 - 11 AM prior to the service at the cemetery. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is serving the family.
