Roy Lewis Henry, 85, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away November 7, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born November 26, 1932 in Gallipolis Ferry, WV, the son of the late Lee and Maxine (Hatfield) Henry.

He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by his loving wife of over 60 years, Wanda Deloris Henry, on April 21, 2016, and by the daughter he loved so dearly, Teresa Ann Henry. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Darlene (Henry) Follrod, and his brothers, Bobby Lee Henry, Billy Wayne Henry, and Ronnie Ray Henry, and nephew, Shawn Michael Henry.

Roy is survived by his son, Roy Dale (Tami) Henry, his daughter Penny Jo (Bill) Rainey, and his precious grandchildren, Tiffany L. Davis and Jacob T. Rainey, all of Point Pleasant, WV. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Violet Henry of Gallipolis Ferry, and Lois L. Henry of Thurman, OH, brother-in-law, Tim (Donna) Bush, nephew, Randy (Polly) Henry all of Gallipolis Ferry, and niece, Angie (Brian) Bias of Thurman, OH, as well as other family and friends.

He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School in 1952. He served honorably in the U.S. Army with the 26th Engineer Combat Battalion Firefighters Co. during the Korean War. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum and was a member of Steelworkers Union Local #5668. He was a loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by his family and all those that cared so much about him.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 2 PM with Rev. Ted Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the Jordan Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 11-2 PM prior to the service.
