Ronnie Gene Smith Jr., age 51, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, July 23, 2022, after a long battle with bone cancer. Ronnie was born August 27, 1970, a son to the late Ronnie Gene Smith Sr. and Charlotte Perry.

Ronnie went by many names, Dad, Pawpaw, Uncle Ronnie, Termite and "Brother". He enjoyed the outdoors, collecting artifacts, spending time with his dogs, who were like his children, riding his Harley and loved to shoot pool.

Ronnie will always be remembered for the unconditional love he had for God and his family.

Ronnie is survived by the love of his life, Peggy Smith, who has been by his side for the last 32 years and their daughter Brittany Smith (Seth Osborne), his special little buddy, grandson, Darius Osborne, Sisters; Sherry Smith, Darlene (Terry) Cline, Uncle; Bobby Smith, whom he loved their talks with the Lord, and the son he never had who held a very special place in his heart, Dustin (Kasidy) McCombs, Nephew; Brady (Julie) Hampton, Nieces; Natasha Smith (Michael Valentine), Tiffany McCormick, Karak McCormick (Garrett Hill) and Kali (Keeli) Hampton. along with, many great nephews and nieces all of which he adored. All of these and many more will be forever touched by Ronnie.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with Pastor Kathy Searls and Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery, Woods School Road, Gallipolis Ferry, WV 25515. Friends and Family may visit the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Wednesday. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
