Ronald R. Zerkle Jr, 68, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away March 29, 2018, while at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 27, 1950, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Ronald R. Zerkle Sr. and Jessetta Roush Zerkle. He was a heavy equipment operator for AB Contracting . He also retired as a coal miner in 2003. He enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald R. Zerkle Sr. and Jessetta Roush Zerkle; and son, Matthew Zerkle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Zerkle of Point Pleasant; son, Kevin Zerkle & (Robyn Warren) of Concord, NC; daughter, Jodie & (Brian) Craft of Apple Grove, WV; grandchildren, Payton Zerkle, and Jordan Craft; sisters, Angela & (Harry Joe) Smith, and Nora  & (Tim) Fields; brothers, Tim & (Connie) Zerkle; special friends, Rick & (Tanya) Handley and family, and Allen & (Melodi) Bell and families; and a host of friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 2 PM, with Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery in New Haven. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday, from 12-2 PM, prior to the service.
