Ronald Russell McCoy, 74, of Glenwood, WV passed away June 22, 2017 at Piedmont on Peachtree Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He was born April 30, 1943 in Ashton, WV, a son to the late Russell H. McCoy and Ruth Marie Robson McCoy. Russell was a retired meat cutter for Krogers with 35 years of service. He loved being a farmer and was a huge Big Blacks Fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell H. McCoy and Ruth Marie Robson McCoy and a sister Kathaleen Pyles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty McCoy of Glenwood, WV, his children, Russell Dean and (Donna) McCoy of Point Pleasant, WV, Rhonda and (George) Blankenship of Point Pleasant, WV, Valerie and (David) Hannon of Soper, OK and Jessica and (Chris) Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK. Grandchildren, Amanda and (Jonathan) Brager, Kristen Hannon, Jacob Hannon, Elizabeth Blankenship and (Holden Adkins), Adrianna McCoy, Jenna Thompson and Alex Thompson. Sisters, Jean Dickens of Avondale Estates, GA, Janice Blake of Ashton, WV and Sherry Diane Dalton of Ashton, WV. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.
