Ronald Durst, 78, of Point Pleasant WV, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born August 7, 1938, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Kenneth Wayne Durst and Daisey McClure Durst. He was a retired Maintenance Technician from the Goodyear/Shell Chemical Plant.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Daisey McClure Durst; and his wife, Joan Durst.

He is survived by his loving children, Ronald (Jody) Durst of Point Pleasant, Eric Durst of Point Pleasant, Valerie (Glenn) Lane of Huntington, WV; grandchildren, Kenneth (Abby) Durst, Rebecca Durst, Miranda Kissell, Erica (Ryan) Walters, Remington Durst, Cheyenne Durst, Anthony (Tami) Delimpo, Emily (Alex) Wollschleger, and Joanna (Caleb) McComas; great-grandchildren, Daphne White, Ace Kissell, Rebecca Sydenstricker, Warren Sydenstricker, Colt Delimpo, Levi Delimpo, Peyton McComas, and Silas McComas; brother, James (Sue) Durst; sisters, Dorothy (Junior) Click, Lydia (Roger) Stone, and Lois (Gary) Taylor. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

At his request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 1 PM, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Flatrock , WV, with Albert Yester officiating. Burial will follow the service. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is serving the family.
