Roger Owen Bennett, 67, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away November 23, 2017 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 17, 1950 in Gallia County, Ohio a son to the late Chester Owen Bennett and Ruth L. Bevan Bennett. Roger was a retired Coal Miner for Sand Hill Coal Company.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Gambill and one Son-In-Law, J.C. Glassburn. Brother-In-Laws, Auty Cambill, and Gerald Ross.

Roger is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Bennett of Gallipolis, Ohio. One son, Wayne Owen Bennett and his wife, (Christen) of Gallipoolis, Ohio. One daughter, Xanthe Chapman and her husband (Rick) of Gallipolis, Ohio. His grandchildren, Tia Hemsley, Chloe Bennett, Wayne "Owen" Bennett II., Wyatt Owen Bennett, Baby Bennett, Bella Chapman and Katie Chapman. Sisters, Judy Ross of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Frances "Tutty" Ice and her husband (Newt) of Athens, Ohio, Paul and Nancy Henry, Robert and Bonna Clonch, Ronnie and Paula McKinney, Harry and Janice Woyan.

Several Neices and Nephews and a host of friends who will miss him.
