Richard (Rick) "The Snake" Leo Jarrell, 55, of Point Pleasant, WV past away in his sleep on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018. Born April 13th, 1963, he is the first son of Richard Lee Jarrell of Point Pleasant and Doris Jean (Plants) Jarrell.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jonah Nathaniel Jarrell, his brother, Ronald Lee Jarrell, and his wife Carol Rene (Knaul) Jarrell.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Rae Knaul, son, Jacob Logan Jarrell, Father, Richard Lee Jarrell, Mother, Doris Jean (Plants) Jarrell, and brother, Robert (Shaya) Jarrell, along with many friends and family. If you were friends with Rick, you were family.

Rick will be remembered for his unmatched ability to recognize every classic rock song worth mentioning on radio, cassette, CD & vinyl, his affinity for memorable conversations and his undeniable talent with words. He was a storyteller and a poet. He was also excellent at naming animals.

Finally, he will be remembered for his unwavering love for his wife and children.

There will be a brief time allotted for calling hours from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, May 5th, 2018, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Rich Bartoli officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Flatrock, WV.
