Richard Lawrence Polk, 64, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away, Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at St. Mary's Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, after courageously battling a long-term illness.

He was born in Chicago, IL, where he resided most of his life, to the late Robert and Margarette Polk.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Margarette) Polk, his brother, Robert Polk.

Richard will be remembered for his love of antique cars, his pets, is love of the Discovery Channel, and most importantly his deep love for his family.

He was the most incredible dad to Amy (Michael) Phoenix of Point Pleasant WV, and Carrie Polk of Illinois, Beloved brother to Barbara (Joseph) Smith of Point Pleasant, WV and Russell (Roen) Polk of Illinois, Beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, whom he loved greatly. He was and adored Papa and will be missed deeply by his several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard was a great friend to so many and left such a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
