Richard (Rick) L. Halstead, 72, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away September 30, 2020, while at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born March 18, 1948, in Gallia County, OH, a son to the late Herman Halstead and Fay Fellure Halstead. He was a retired insurance salesman for Woodmen of the World. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also loved to play softball and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Fay Halstead; sister, Marsha Christine; and son, Steven Halstead.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Christi (Paul) Knox of London, OH, and Michelle Wallace of Letart, WV; brother, JP (Mary) Halstead of Letart; grandchildren, Kayla Pearson, Jessica Wallace, Dalton Knox, and Carly Knox; great-grandchildren, Jayla Wallace and Caden Tucker; life partner, Susie Halstead of Point Pleasant, and her daughter, Lisa Bush; niece, Brooke Mullins; and beloved aunt, Margaret Fellure; his best furry friend ever, "Oreo"; several extended family members, friends, and neighbors.

A private family graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Leon, WV, Sunday, October 4, 2020, at 3 PM. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Rick's memory to your favorite charity.
