Richard Lee "Doc" Holley, 76, of Apple Grove, WV, went home to be with the Lord March 12, 2019, surrounded by his close loved ones. Richard was an active member of Ashton Baptist Church, and was a founding member of Valley Volunteer Fire and Rescue. He was also a member of Kanawha Valley Lodge #36 AF & AM in Buffalo, WV, and Scottish Rite, and a member of The Eastern Star in Charleston, WV. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Geraldean Holley; two brothers, Ronnie and Keith Holley.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Sandra (Barnett) Holley; two daughters, Nancy (Robert) Cornell, and Shelly (Mike) Blain; five grandchildren, Alisha (Fred) Hammond, Jesica Cornell, Lee Cornell, Samantha (Shelby) Shuler, and Ira Blain; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Rayleigh Shuler; and one brother, Jeff Holley. Services will be held at Ashton Baptist Church which is (Richard's home church), Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 3 PM, with Brian May officiating. Burial will follow in Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Ashton with full graveside Masonic Rites being conducted by Kanawha Valley Lodge #36 from Buffalo, WV. Friends may visit the family at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Friday evening, March15, from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ashton Baptist Church.
