Randell Guy Mayes, 83, of Ashton, WV passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at his residence. He was born July 24, 1940, to the late Burley and Clara Mayes. He retired from ACF of Huntington, WV after 31 years, and he loved farming, which he did most of his life.

He was preceded in death by, Wife; Freda Mayes, Son; Dwayne Mayes, Sisters; Slyvia Harrison and Betty Brumfield, and Brothers; Gene, Danny, Dunnie, Donnie and Lester Mayes.

He is survived by, Daughter; Patricia (Terry) Meadows of Ashton, WV, Sons; Wayne (Linda) Mayes of Ashton, WV and Darrell Mayes (Brenda Litchfield) of Ashton, WV, Daughter-in-law; Teresa Mayes of Ashton, WV, Brother; Harold (Violia) Mayes of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Grandchildren; Scott (Shelly) Meadows, Samantha (Michael) Hawk, Tyler Mayes, Jasime Mayes and Sierra (Joshua) Humphreys. He also leaves behind great grandchildren, Leah Meadows, Paisleigh and Kambrie Mayes and Brantley and Brynley Hawk. Randell will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Deal Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Langdon officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove, WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
