Ralph Otto Miller, Jr, 75, a devoted Christian, faithful husband, loving father and best grandfather in the world passed away on November 27, 2019 at his home. Ralph was born February 28, 1944, the son of Ralph Otto Miller Sr. and Virginia Patsy Riley Miller of Tin Can Hollow in West Columbia, WV.
Ralph never knew a stranger. He gained many friendships through his long-working career. Ralph served in the United States Army from May 1962 through May 1964 as a tank mechanic stationed in Carson, Colorado. After finishing his service in the Army, Ralph spent the rest of his career as a dedicated employee who never missed a day of work. He enjoyed getting to know many families of Mason County as the Valley Bell milk deliveryman. He later went on to finish his career working in the Teamster Local 505 and then as a foreman for the West Virginia State Road Department.
Ralph married the love of his life, Sandra Sue Miller on February 1970 and welcomed his newborn son, Corey Miller in December of 1976.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Sandra Miller and son, Corey (Candace) Miller and grandchildren Morgan Miller and Cole Miller of Point Pleasant; sister, Esther "Sally" Bland of Letart, WV; brothers, John P. Miller of West Columbia, Edward (Judy) Miller of West Columbia; several loved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and friends – too many to count.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Judy Young, Claudie "Peep" Fields, Mildred "Sissie" Compson, Eva Lou Yonker, and brother Jackie Miller.
Friends and family may visit from 11am-1pm on Monday, December 2nd, 2019. There will be a service at 1pm with Pastor Melvin Mock officiating. To honor Ralph's love for his grandchildren, in lieu of flowers, please donate to Toys for Kids at website www.toysforkidsmc.com.
