Phyllis E. Penn, 74, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 19, 1950, a daughter to the late Melvin Coy and Edith Minor Ross. Phyllis loved to play bingo at the Moose Lodge in Point Pleasant, WV. She retired after working over 50 years at Lakin Hospital, which was her passion. Phyllis was also a member of the Mt. Moriah Church in Middleport, OH.

She is preceded in death by, Parents; Melvin Coy and Edith Minor Ross, Brother; Michael Coy and Brother-in-law; Reginald Carson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard Penn, Daughter; Cheryl Whitt, Granddaughter; Tayyler Whitt all of Point Pleasant, Grand dog; Milo, Brother; James (Dawn) Houchins of Columbus, Sisters; Cathy Ross of Columbus, and Janice Ross of California, Son in law; Michael Whitt, Sister in laws; Ethel Carson, May Wade and Ann Wade, Brother in law; Robert (Sherri) Wade and Larry (Sonia) Wade. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and never met a stranger.

The family would like to give a big "Thank You" to the 5th Floor Nursing services at Cabell Huntington Hospital for the wonderful care.

A Celebration of Life will be from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, at Point Pleasant Moose Lodge in Point Pleasant, WV. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
