Phyllis Marie Edmonds Parsons, 75, of Ashton, WV, went home to be with the Lord while at home surrounded by her loving family May 6, 2018. She was born March 3, 1943, in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late Sanford Edmonds and Kathleen Meadows Edmonds. She worked for Value City until they closed and FW Means Clean Towel. She attended Palestine Baptist Church in Ashton. She was an avid seamstress and loved to quilt. She was an accomplished cook. She and her husband General loved to tend garden and can, as well as helping on the farm. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a friend to all.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Kathleen Edmonds; brothers, James and Franklin Edmonds; and sister, Elsie Margaret Pinder.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years, General Parsons of Ashton; sons, Lacey (Barbie) Parsons of Ashton, and Aaron Parsons of Ashton; grandson, Zachary Parsons of Ashton; granddaughter, Maggie Frost of Ashton; brothers, Woodrow (Dottie) Edmonds of Barboursville, WV, Charlie (Brenda) Edmonds of Milton, WV, and Paul Edmonds of Ashton; sisters, Mable Gorrell of Ravenswood, WV, Lucille Barker of Guyandotte, WV, Audrey (Bill) Boling of Ashton, and Bonnie (Keith) Winter of Glenwood, WV; several nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Wednesday, May9, 2018, at 1 PM, with Pastor Ronnie Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Pete Meadows Cemetery in Ashton. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 PM prior to the service. Online condolences can be made at dealfh.com.
