Opal Jean "Suddie" Fisher, 83, went home to be with her family in heaven on Thursday, June 18 ^th , 2020 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.

She was born April 20 ^th , 1937, a daughter to the late Elsie Virginia Holley and Charles Kenneth Holley.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Allen Fisher, her brother, Bobby Lee Holley, sister, Anna Mae Nojedara and a special niece, Bobbi Jean Dean.

Suddie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children.  She helped raise her niece Angela (Brent) Holley of Milton, WV and treated Angela's son, Justin Lee Holley, as a grandson. She was blessed to have the love, care and nurturing of her niece, Debbie (Larry) Mercure of Sebring, Florida whom she talked to every day.   She also enjoyed spending time with Debbie's children: Nina Ann Bishop, Tiffanie Hill-Fairfield, and Ryan Hill, all of Florida.  She had a special relationship with her niece Peggy Fisher of Pt. Pleasant, WV and cared deeply for her two great nieces Shelby Dean, Sydney Dean and their father, Billy Dean of Lincoln County, WV. She also leaves behind her cousin, Kathie Austin, in whom she found great joy and comfort as well as a host of friends who she considered family, including her life-long friend, Virginia Whitt.  Suddie lived a rich, full life and was a positive light to those who loved her.  Her legacy will be in the stories she shared and in the lives of the children she cherished throughout the years.

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27 ^th , 2020 at 11:00 a.m. during a graveside ceremony at Mt. Zion Baptist Church located in Ashton, WV.  Reverend Don Reynolds will be officiating and Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV will be handling all details for the service.  Social distancing and face masks are recommended.

Friends and family may honor her memory by sending flowers, giving to a charity of their choice or by donating to the Holley Memorial Scholarship fund.  Donations to the scholarship fund may be made by contacting or visiting City National Bank and requesting to contribute to the fund in care of Angela Holley.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who helped care for Suddie during the past several years.  A special thank you to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice house staff for their kindness and tender care.
