Nyoka Linda George, 82, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at her home in Vinton, Ohio. She was born January 30, 1943. Nyoka fought her fight and WON at life. She raised her family while helping support us. Serving as a head start social worker and as a mail carrier. All this time supporting her husband in his career. Nyoka was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and Safe Harbor. She loved to read, bird watch and garden. She loved to spend time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Herman George, Mother, Virginia Kerwood (Nanny), Grandson, Marty George and many loving siblings.

Nyoka is survived by her brother, Charles (Pete) Kerwood, children, Deborah Kerwood, Mark, (Jennifer) George and Martin (Dawn) George, grandchildren, Courtney George, Alexandre George and Kensington Rogers -George.

Service will be held in Gallipolis, First Church of Nazarene, August 23rd at 1:00 PM.

Deal Funeral Home will be serving the family.
