Nancy Marie "Nana" Mullins, 75, of Mason, WV, gained her wings January 14, 2021.

Nana was born April 28, 1945 in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Jerry R. Byus, Sr. and Mary E. (Jacobs) Byus. She was also preceded in death by brother Clayton Jay Byus, sisters Barbara Alice VanMatre & Wilma Melissa Stapf, granddaughter Heather AnnMarie Best, and nephews Jimmy and Stephen Byus.

For 57 years, she was the devoted wife of Jerry Lee "Big Jerry" Mullins, Sr., who she married September 6, 1963.  Loving mother to daughter Mary Elizabeth Chapman of South Bend, IN; sons Jerry Lee "Little Jerry" Mullins, Jr. (Wendy) of Fayetteville, OH, and her "baby boy" John James Mullins II (Jennifer) of Batavia, OH. She and Big Jerry also adopted and raised their granddaughter Krystil Painter of New Haven, WV.

She was proud to be grandma Nancy to Olivia Van der Kooi (Jay), Aurora Mullins, John James "JJ" Mullins III, and Joseph "Joey" Mullins; Kevin Kuhn (Rachel) of Gallipolis, OH and Nathaniel Cowen of South Bend, IN. She was Mawmaw Ninny to great-grandson Maverick Painter.

She enjoyed thrift stores & yard sales, especially when she was with her sisters Brandace McCombs (Lewis) and Wacouta Sue Darst, and playing games of dice at the kitchen table with Juanita Rosemary Davis (Rusty) many years ago. She made the most of every moment and enjoyed anytime she spent laughing or joking with her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie & Anne Byus, Jerry Robert Jr & late wife Glenna, Tommy Byus, Randy & Bonnie Byus, and Ronnie & Connie Byus. She looked forward to the annual Byus Family Reunion and spending any time with her many nieces and nephews- who often thought of her like a second mom. She had many lifelong friends she also loved like family.

In previous years Nan enjoyed being a member of the Homemaker's Club, bowling leagues, and Bend Area Bow Hunters. She was a baton/pageant/cheer mom, she loved to cook, bake, canning food, crafting, and painting.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and will be remembered most for her caring heart, hilarious shenanigans, and genuinely being one of those people that if you knew her, she loved you, and if she loved you-you knew it.

Visitation will be Monday, Jan 19, 2021 at Deal Funeral Home, Point Pleasant WV from 11-1, and a celebration of life to follow.
