Morgan Chelsey Herdman, 27, of Leon, WV formerly of Wellston, OH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 16, 2022. She was born January 12, 1995, a daughter to Charles Gilliland and Rachel Simpson. Morgan graduated from Wellston High School, Class of 2013. She was an avid animal lover, enjoyed flea marketing and loved to cook.

She is preceded by Paternal Grandmother; Martha Gilliland, and Uncle; DJ Simpson.

Morgan is survived by her loving husband of 6 years, Ethan Herdman of Leon, WV, Father; Chad (Pattie) Gilliland of Wellston, OH, Mother; Rachel Simpson of Wellston, OH,  Mother and Father In Law; Darrell (Vickie) Herdman Jr of Leon, WV, Sister; Stephanie Hill of Wellston, OH, Aunts; Mary (Jay) Hughes of Wellston, OH, Pam (Greg) Phillips of Wellston, OH, Yvonne Dubeck of Indiana, Uncles; Tom Gilliland of Wellston, OH, and Russ (Valerie) Stewart of Tampa, FL, Brother in Law; Joseph Herdman of Leon, WV, Sister in Law; Jazmine Herdman of Leon, WV, Nephew; David Herdman of St. Albans, WV. She also leaves behind her fur babies, Midge and Lady.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at McWilliams Funeral Home, 125 E 1st St, Wellston, OH 45692 with Pastor Sandy Wright officiating. Visitation will be held three hours prior from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV. A Private burial will be at a later date. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the local animal rescue or animal shelter In Honor of Morgan.
