ASHTON - Mazie Ellen Camp, 94, went to meet with her Lord from her home on October 31, 2021.

She was born in May 1927 in Ashton, Mason County, WV, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie (Ball) Kensler.  She was a homemaker, farmer, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed sewing and quilting, canning vegetables, watching hummingbirds, sitting in her swing on her front porch, playing with (and spoiling) her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents along with her husband Word Camp and long-time partner Kessel Brumfield; siblings Susie Kensler, Charles H Kensler, Beatrice (Mervin) Meadows, Mary (Orlando) Long, Jewell (Harry) Hill, James (Eunice) Kensler, Charlotte Kensler, Stella (Walter) Gutowski and Linice Garrison; sisters-in-law Belle and Susan Kensler and son-in-law Herman Hicks.

She is survived by her brother Jessie Kensler; children Donna (Paul) Lambert, Linda Hicks, Sylvester Camp and Beulah (Gary) Gibson; grandchildren Richard (Makala) Hicks, Stacey Hicks, Lakin (Shauna) Beaver, Corey Lambert and Brandon Gibson and great grandchildren Kayden Nolan and Connor Nolan-Davis. She is also survived by her extended families of Nancy Brumfield and Larry Brumfield as well as the families of her many cousins, nieces, nephews and stepchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (visitation) and 2:00 p.m. (funeral) at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with eulogy by Reverend Charlie Langdon . Burial will follow in Pete Meadows Cemetery in Glenwood, WV.
