Maude Emily Kinniard Shafer, 92, of Apple Grove, WV, passed away at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Friday, March 31, 2017. Maude was born April 14, 1924 in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late William Carl Kinniard and Sadie E. Ball Kinniard. She was a homemaker and attended the Millstone Church, Apple Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents was her first husband, Otto Meadows and her second husband, Floyd Ray Shafer. One son, Wayne Meadows, two Sisters, Kathlene Long and Lillian E. Stover. Brothers, Woodrow, Utley, and William Kinniard.

She is survived by her children, Charles and (Lucy) Meadows of Glenwood, WV, Richard E. and (Connie) Meadows of Glenwood, WV, Eva and (Roger) Plumley of Glenwood, WV, Connie L. Nibert of Gallipolis Ferry, WV,
Ronald E. and (Phyllis) Kinniard of Southside, WV, Melvin L. Kinniard of Southside, WV, Sadie Ann and (Bob) Waugh of Apple Grove, WV, and Barbara Lynn and (Curt) Wallace of Gallipolis Ferry, WV. Twenty-six Grandchilden and Several Great Grand and Great Great Grandhildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Deal Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Stover and Charles Dabney officating.
