Mary Christine Mayes, 73 of Glenwood, WV, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, at Valley Health. She was born December 24, 1952, in Glenwood, WV to the late William and Eliza Deal. She was always there to love and take good care of her family.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years James Mayes, son, James Mayes, sisters, April Kwiecien and Helen Mayes.

Service will be held at Deal Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held an hour prior. Burial will immediately follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove, WV. Pastor Randy Parsons will be officiating. Please keep Mary's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
