Letha May Queen, 95, of Pt. Pleasant WV passed away on February 25, 2022, after a long Christ-filled life.  Letha was born on July 25, 1926, to Gobe and Bertha Christian.

Letha was preceded in death by her husband Galen Byron, her daughter Diann Johnson, and her sister and brother-in-law Helen and George Payne. She is survived by her children Paul (Susan) Queen of Pt. Pleasant, D'nice (Jim) Black of Beverly, OH, Dawn Goodwin (Jim Gustafsen) of Lehigh Acres, FL, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Letha (Queenie) graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1947 and had a 30 year career in healthcare. She was a charter member and served as the pianist and prayer warrior at Grace Baptist Church. She helped with VBS late into her 90's. She found a love for painting later in life and enjoyed her time in painting class. She spent her time reading the Bible, working puzzles, sewing, and playing games.

Viewing will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 6-8pm at Deal Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 7501 Ohio River Road, Pt. Pleasant, WV at 12pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Pr. Jonathan Pinson officiating. Additional visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Graveside service to follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens.
