Laura M. Jones, 77, of Point Pleasant, WV, went home to be with her Lord April 18, 2017, with her loving family at her side. She was born July 26, 1939, in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late William T. Perry and James R. & Evelyn Hartley. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Weslyan Holiness Church in Point Pleasant.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and James R. Hartley; son,Bobby Johnson, her loving aunt Arnie Roberts, brothers, Cecil Perry and Larry Perry.

She is survived by her sons, Weetsy (Carrie Durst) Johnson of Point Pleasant, Ricky Johnson of Point Pleasant; daughters, Angie (Ernie) Sizemore of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Cheryl (Possum) Spencer of Point Pleasant, and Misty (Rusty Lucas) McDaniel of Point Pleasant; brothers, Bill Smith, Calvin Wright, Butch (Robin) Perry, Norma (Roger) Pickens, Reba (Eric) Lanier; grandchildren, Dawn and Craig Johnson, Jamie Pierce, Brandy (Jason) McMillian, Jason Ritchie, Chelsea Johnson, Travis and Hannah Johnson, Bubba (Brittany) Spencer, Tiffany (Chad Spurlock) Spencer, Brandon (Erin) Perry, and Hunter Lucas; great-grandchildren, Kiedon and Keedon McMillian, Dezyl Spencer, and Karson Perry, Jarred and Sean Myers, Kaleb McKeever, Isabella Pierce, and Brady Spurlock; several nieces and nephews; and her furry friends, Fuzzy, Jessie, BJ, Patchy, Hank, Zekey, and BB. She will be sadly missed by all.

At her request there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 12 PM, with Kathlene Slinker officiating, at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is serving the family.
