Juanita Mae Bowers Beaver Griffith, 88, of Palatka passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Grimms Landing, West Virginia, Juanita had lived in Palatka for the past 8 years coming from Rutland, Ohio. She had been a lifelong homemaker. In her leisure time, she enjoyed interior decorating, antiquing, flea markets, and going out to dinner. She was a Baptist and had been very involved in the ministries of the Ash Street Baptist Church in Middleport, Ohio.

Besides her parents, Theodore and Bertha Bowers, Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Beaver; second husband, Gary Griffith; brothers, Herman Bowers and Thurman Bowers; a cousin, Ruby Tucker Craig who had been raised as a sister, and a niece, Sandy McKneely.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Sonia Beaver Blake of Palatka and Tina Beaver Wolfe (Richard) of East Palatka; a sister, Phyllis Mitchell of Grimms Landing, WV; a sister-in-law, Jenetta Bowers; two grandsons, Justin "Caleb" Blake and his fiancée, Misha Elder, and Jordan Wolfe; four great grandchildren, Mordecai Blake, Myriam Blake, Millie Blake (and their mother, Hannah Dold), and Nolan Elder; and 12 nieces and nephews, Barry Bowers, Dinah Harman, Tim Mitchell, Randy Mitchell, Scott Mitchell, Denny Mitchell, Trudy Torres, Brett Bowers, Steve Bowers, Debra Tucker, Wendy Bailey, and Karen Griffith.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Leon Cemetery in Leon, WV at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Mark Morrow officiating.
