Joy Ki Halbleib Smith 89, Gallipolis Ferry, WV, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served for 80 years. She was born at Hogsett, WV on September 23, 1932, to the late Frank and Rosa Pearson Halbleib. She was a member of the Wyoma Church Henderson, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Thurman A Smith, and sister, Vona Nibert. She is survived by three daughters: Judith (Ray) Pennington of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Joanna (Tom) Mcneely of Point Pleasant, WV, Mary (Leonard) Fielder of Gallipolis Ferry WV, and three sons: David (Nancy) Smith of Vine Grove, KY, Daniel Smith, and Mark (Diana) Smith both of Gallipolis Ferry, WV. 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a special niece, Pam Defond.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and a celebration of life at 3:00 PM at the Deal Funeral Home Point Pleasant, WV with David Smith, and Roger Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow at the Wyoma Church Cemetery in Henderson, WV.
