John "Mark" Smith, 58, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV passed away at home on Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born February 9, 1966, a son to the late Thurman Smith and Joy Halbleib Smith. Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing; he also had a love for bears. He worked at APG Polytech in Gallipolis Ferry, WV.

He is preceded in death by, Parents; Thurman (Joy) Smith.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Diana Smith of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, his children; Shaina (Jeff) Martin of Glenwood, and Travis Smith of Point Pleasant, Stepchildren; Nancy Holley of Gallipolis Ferry, and Jamie Holley of Apple Grove, Step-Grandchildren; Lindsey Kessell and Emma Robertson. Mark also is survived by his siblings; David (Nancy) Smith, Daniel Smith, Judy (Ray) Pennington and JoAnn (Tom) McNeely. He also leaves behind Special Sister-in-law and Caregiver, Kitty Clark and several nieces and nephews. Mark will be missed by many extended family and friends.
