John Crockett Simpkins, 59, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV passed away, Monday December 4, 2023, at home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Delaware, OH on May 31, 1964, a son to the late Carl "Sonny" Simpkins and Sonia Decker Simpkins. He is very loved and will be missed terribly. Crockett spent over 40 years of his life dedicated to his career on the river.

He is preceded in death by, Sister, Cathy Simpkins and nephew Briar Wolfe.

Crockett is survived by his wife Camala Simpkins, Brothers, Carl Simpkins, Todd Simpkins, and Clifford Simpkins, Sister Missie Simpkins along with several nieces and nephews. We cannot forget his two precious dogs: Baby and Bobo.

As per Crockett's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Please keep the family in your prayers.
