John L. Sidenstricker, 72, of Southside, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. John was born December 1, 1944, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Lee and Nellie Kinnaird Sidenstricker. He retired as a construction worker and did many different types of work.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson Cole Chesson.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Wood Sidenstricker of Southside, WV, one son, John L. Sidenstricker,II and his wife Carla of Southside, WV, daughter, Denee Sidenstricker and her husband David Hjelseth of Southside, WV, grandchildren, Eric Sidenstricker, Amanda Chesson, Caden Hjelseth, Haley Hjelseth, and Sarah Hjelseth.
He is also survived by his brother and sisters, Carol and Carl Stalnaker of Plain City, Ohio, Wanda Stalnaker of Pembroke Pines Fl, Charles and Cindy Sidenstricker of Anderson, North Carolina,Jim and Marge Sidenstricker of Plain City, Ohio, Jack and Carol Sidenstricker of Plain City, Ohio, and Larry and Linda Sidenstricker of Snellsville, GA, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 1:00 P.M., at the Deal Funeral Home with Charlie Dabney officiating. Burial will be in the Loggerhead Cemetery, Southside, WV.
