John H. Jordan, 85, of Southside, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at home. He was born February 9, 1938, a son to the late Okey Jordan and Helen King. He loved listening and taping bluegrass bands; he traveled across West Virginia and Ohio taping various bluegrass bands.

He is preceded in death by, Wife; Anna Jordan, Parents; Okey (Helen) King, Brother; Charles Jordan, Sister; Maxine Madden.

John is survived by Daughters; Connie (Steven) Evans of Kermit, TX, Brenda Jordan of Southside, WV, Grandchildren; Alisha (Dustin) Cotton, Midland, TX, Kimberly (Chris) Perez of Garden City, TX and Keysha Evans of Midland, TX, Sister; Carol (Ronald) Duncan of Point Pleasant, WV, Great Grandchildren; Kennaley Evans, Kaylonie Perez and James Cotton, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special nephew, Jim Denney of Lockbourne, OH. John will be missed by many extended family and friends. The family would also like to say a special "Thank You" to Hospice of Huntington.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior from 5:00PM-7:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
