John "Red John" Barker Jr., 77, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born February 7, 1944 to the late John Barker Sr and Winnie Holley. John retired after having 35 years in for the WV State Highway.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John Barker Sr. and Winnie Holley, Step-Father, Nev White, Brothers; James Barker, Harold White, Sister; Ferral Holley.

John is survived by his wife of 20 years; Violet Barker of Gallipolis Ferry, Step-Daughter's; Carolyn (Kavin) Hudnall of Point Pleasant, WV, Pauline Jeffers of Point Pleasant, WV, Sandy Dovenbarger of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Step-Son; David (Stacy) Schwartz of Point Pleasant, WV, Daughter; Sandy Barker, Son; Kevin Barker, Sisters; Wanda (David) Glenn of Laura, OH, Judy White of Concord, NC, Brother; Sherman (Mindy) White of Pomeroy, OH, Special Nephew; Ronnie (Nannette) Barker of Lesage, WV. He will be missed by many grandchildren, great grandchild, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family. Social Distancing and Facemask are recommended for everyone's safety.
