John Emory Hayman, 94, of Point Pleasant, WV, formerly of Leon, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at PVNCU.
Johnny was preceeded in death by his parents John Hayman and Ellie (Sines) Hayman, his wife Ruth, sisters Wanda Greenlee, Gert Beaver, brother Bill, daughter Connie Huizar, and two grandchildren.
Johnny is survived by daughters Peggy (Danny) Herdman of Belton, MO, Mick (Billy) Painter of Point Pleasant, WV, and Carla (Les) Burton of Illinois, sisters, Mary Thomas of Point Pleasant, Rowena & Joe Jeffers of Trophy Club TX, Molony Moore of Columbus, OH, and Jean & Donnie Hill of Leon, WV; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Johnny was a World War II USMC veteran who received a Purple Heart award after being wounded on the Pacific Island of Saipan. His passion in life was serving God and farming. He was a preacher who has preached in many churches and nursing homes in the area. Johnny never met a stranger and everyone would leave encouraged and uplifted once crossing his path.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 11 AM, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, with Anthony Toler and Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow in the Leon Cemetery, Leon, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Friday evening from 4-8 PM. Online condolences can be made at dealfh.com.
