Joanne Patterson, 70, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, went home to be with the Lord while at Pleasant Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, February 9, 2018. She was born July 8, 1947, in Perrysburg, OH, a daughter to the late Goldie Belle Martin Fisher. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pleasant View Church in Gallipolis Ferry. She helped everyone in need, but her passion in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Goldie B. Fisher; six brothers, Leroy Martin, Raymond Fisher, Danny Fisher, David Fisher, Ralph FisherJr., and Michael Fisher; son-in-law, Bruce Johnson Sr.; brother-in-law Jack Large; and two special couple, Effie and Junior Siders, and grandson, Johnny Lee Patterson.

She is survived by her loving husbandof 53 years, Virgil Patterson of Gallipolis Ferry; sons, Virgil Patterson Jr., Donnie Patterson, and Carl Eugene Patterson, all of Gallipolis Ferry; daughters, Virginia Ramsey of Leon, WV, Judy Denais of Kaplan, LA, Effie Ferguson and Connie Sue Johnson, both of Point Pleasant, WV, and Goldie (David) Long of Keiser, WV; two brothers, Roger Fisher of Gallipolis Ferry, Carl (Debbie) Gillispie of Point Pleasant; two sisters, Linda Willett of Point Pleasant, and Patricia Fisher of Henderson, WV; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 1 PM, with Rev. Ted Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the Patterson-Clonch Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11-1 PM prior to the service.
