JoAnn Hobbs Richmond Baker, 88, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born June 28, 1935, a daughter to the late Oder and Hettie (Griffith) Hobbs. JoAnn was a member of Harvey Chapel Church. She worked many years at Holzer and PVH, as a nursing assistant before retiring early to be a homemaker. She loved her family, church, friends, baking, shopping and gardening. She absolutely loved Christmas Time.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oder and Hettie Hobbs, Husband; Carl Baker, Daughter; Sandi Richmond Stephens, Grandson; Matthew Richmond, Sisters; C. Joan Hobbs Fowler, Ila Jean Livesay, Freda Livesay, Dreama Hobbs, Brothers; Harold Hobbs, Russell Hobbs, Billy Hobbs, and Shirley Lilly, who was like a sister to her.

JoAnn is survived by, Sons; R.Steve (Beverly) Richmond, Kenneth (Kim) Richmond, Grandchildren; Steve (Tori) Richmond, Michael (Rebecca) Richmond, Bethany (Matt) Rupe, Jason Kinniard, Jennifer (Teo) Ribakovs, Amanda Richmond, Kenna (Brad) DeCicco, Korie (Jonah) Brown, Great Grandchildren; Tristen & Owen, Kaycee, Ava, Isaiah, Trenton, Morgan, Nimue, Sophia, Alec, Myles, Zakkary, Macie, Maddie, Maddux, One Sister; Judy Hobbs (George) Fizer, Special Friends and helpers, Leland and Nellie Vanmeter, her niece and favorite shopping partner, Carla Wooten Jefferson. She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with Leland Vanmeter officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart, WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
