Joan L. Legg, 85, of Pomeroy, Ohio formerly of Leon, WV passed away, Wednesday, May 17 ^th , 2023. She was born June 17, 1937, a daughter to the late Elzie DeVault and Grace Wheeler. Joan was a member of Harvey Chapel Church and attended River of Life Church. She enjoyed doing anything outdoors from gardening to farming. Joan also loved to cook and sew.

She is preceded in death by, Husband; Dencil Legg, Son, Elzie Legg, Daughter; Linda Legg, Parents; Elzie (Grace) DeVault, Brothers; Blaine and Thurman DeVault, Sisters; Mary, Avalee, Pauline, Margaret, Eva, Louise, Etta, Lorretta, Willie.

Joan is survived by Sons; Glenn (Monica) Legg of Columbus, James (April) Legg of Pomeroy, Grandchildren; Chris Ellis, Miranda Adams, Zoee Adams, Ivy Legg, Dencil Legg, Andy (Kayla) Legg, Zachary (Erika) Legg, Abigail Legg (Michael Mallory), Renee (Lucas) Grueser, Ricky Colburn (Bryanna Hall), Lewis Legg, and Robert Legg. She also leaves behind 17 great grandchildren. Joan also leaves behind Sisters; Merlie Hart and Dottie Hart, Brothers; Paul DeVault and Walter DeVault. She will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 19 ^th , 2023, at Deal Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Buckley officiating. Burial will follow at Baden Presbyterian Cemetery in Leon, WV. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18 ^th , 2023, at Deal Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
