Jesse F. Hughes, 79, of Apple Grove, WV, passed away at PVH Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Point Pleasant, WV on September 25, 2017. Jessie was born on March 2, 1938 in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Charlie Hughes and Iva Waugh Hughes. He was a retired laborer from Martha White Company.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Loretta Mae Hughes, who passed away April 28, 2017; daughter Patty A. Hughes; son, Wade Hughes; sisters, Ester Bateman and Ellen Hughes.

He is survived by two sons, Alvin Ray (Terrie) Hughes and Kerry ( Karen) Hughes, both of Sylvana, Ga; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Audrey Hoover, Della Guren, both of Delaware, Ohio and Helen Miniger of Mansville, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 1:00 P.M., at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, with Rev. Ronnie Long officiating. Burial will be in the Ball's Chapel Cemetery in Ashton, WV.
