Janet Carol Jodon, 81, of Leon, WV, went home to be with the Lord August 13, 2019, at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 18, 1938, in Mason County, WV, a daughter to the late Cary Herman Gandee and the late Macel Underwood Gandee. She was a homemaker. She was an accomplished cook, like to sew quilts, and loved babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Point Pleasant.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her beloved husband of over 63 years, George Jodon; and brother, Darrell Gandee.

She is survived by six loving children; George (Karen) Jodon of Leon, Stephen (Darlene) Jodon of Mason, WV, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Jodon also of Mason, Debra (Charles) Seymour of Leon, Connie (Brian) Conley of N. Carolina, and Pamela Jodon of Point Pleasant, WV; as well as 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Margel Chapman, Glen Gandee, Edna Rollins, Gary Gandee, and Betty Miller; several other extended family, friends, and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 1 PM, with Pastor Danny Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Flatrock, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 PM prior to the service. Online condolences can be made at dealfh.com.
