James Levi Quentin Sims, 29, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2026, at home in Westerville, OH. He was born in Point Pleasant, WV, July 14, 1996, to James and Angela Sims and Jennifer Johnson.

James worked as a pipefitter for Pipefitters Local 577. He enjoyed metal music, tattoos, concerts and video games. He loved spending time with his family, friends and animals.

He is survived by his parents, his soulmate, Brianna Shepherd, brothers and sisters: Andrew Sims, Skyla (Jamie) Parsons, Zoe Sims (Micheal Cochran), Eian Harkins, Gracie Sims and Christian Fry, Grandparents: James and Linda Sims, Lillie and Tony Sowards, Ginny and Larry Hall, and Roger and Margie Johnson. Mother and father-in-law: Wayne and Debbie Shepherd. Special cousins: Zack (Gloria) Harkins, Christopher Copley and many other cousins as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Archie A. and Geneveve Starcher, James V. and Clara Sims, Orville Poor and Marylin Davis, Junior and Betty Cook and Melvin and Guyla Johnson, aunt: Shelly Sims and niece, Harlee Parsons.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service. Pastor Heath Jenkins will be officiating.
