James McCormick, 83, of Leon, WV, went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Rosemary, Sunday February 14, 2021. James was born April 5, 1937, in Kanawha County, WV, to the late James Bernard McCormick and Lillian "Petry" McCormick. James was a coal miner, contractor, and a preacher. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Preceding him in death besides his parents, is his wife of over 57 years, Rosemary McCormick, a son James McCormick, and a sister Norma.

He is survived by sons, Tracy (Yvonne) McCormick, Timothy (Gwendolyn) McCormick, Barry (Christy) McCormick, David (Kimberly) McCormick, Joshua (Michelle) McCormick; and daughter Hope Ross; sixteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Gail) McCormick and Roger McCormick.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 1 PM, with Pastor Dave Washington officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Leon.
